We love it when our customers specify their very own choice of finish. It gives us an insight into which trends are being adopted, or not! And, it makes our job even more interesting than usual.

A recent brief was for a dark brown Large Lucca (105cm dia.) convex mirror with a gold bead. Our customer specified a 50/50 blend of brown paint –  having done their own bit of mixology in advance! – and we set to work.

In this instance, we used 22 carat gold leaf for the beading and once the painted finish was complete, the whole frame was waxed to give a rich, lustrous effect.
