METALLICS IN THE MIX

We were lucky enough to make it to Decorex on Sunday. So much design talent on display and plenty of inspiration to be drawn from it.

We were pleased to see that gold and brass featured highly, with metallics generally – including copper and bronze – remaining a key trend.

Cole & Son’s stand featured a wallpaper design giving the appearance of a vintage foxed mirror, shown in Golden Bronze.

Of course, it’s no wonder that the use of metallics in interior design is going strong. Golds and brass warm up a space and reflective surfaces bounce light around a room. Using a few well-chosen metallic pieces as accents creates a glamorous and affluent look no matter what your individual style.

This decorative metallic wall panel in copper, bronze, silver and brass finishes caught our eye.

Whatever your preference, a metallic purchase will inject an elegance and interesting edge to pretty much any scheme.

Another piece we’d happily give house space to. Midnight blue velvet upholstered chair with brass arms, brass sabots and contrasting piping and buttoning.
